Welcome! To make your first visit smooth, please:
- Bring your insurance card and photo ID
- Arrive 15 minutes early
- Complete all intake paperwork before your appointment (intake form, medical history, no-show agreement, and credit card on file) — your appointment will not be confirmed until these are received
- Bring all of your current medications to every appointment, even if you've been seen recently — this helps us avoid any accidental overlap if you were seen at another clinic or urgent care
- Write down your questions or concerns before your visit so we can address everything in one appointment
- If you manage a chronic condition like high blood pressure or diabetes, bring a log of your daily readings — this helps us make the most accurate medication adjustments for you
We ask that you cancel or reschedule at least 48 business hours in advance so we can offer that time to another patient.
We accept the following PPO plans:

Most POS plans are also accepted. We do not accept HMO or Medi-Cal plans.
We recommend verifying with your insurance that we are an in-network provider before your visit — we'll also do our best to confirm this on our end before finalizing your appointment. If we are out of network, we'll provide you with an itemized receipt you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.
Co-pays, co-insurance, and any outstanding balances are due at the time of your visit. A credit card on file is required for all patients — your appointment will not be confirmed without one.

We offer transparent cash-pay pricing, and we've partnered with a local lab to provide bloodwork at discounted rates for uninsured patients. You'll always know what things cost upfront — no surprise bills.
Need a refill? Send us a message on Spruce during regular business hours and we'll take care of it.
- Please request refills at least 1 week before you run out
- When your prescription runs out completely, a follow-up or telehealth visit is required before we can prescribe more
At Los Angeles Primary Care & Obesity Medicine, we offer a comprehensive, physician-guided weight loss program that goes beyond the scale. Our approach combines evidence-based medical treatment with body composition monitoring so we can track real progress — not just pounds lost.
- Monthly appointments are required while your medication dose is being adjusted
- Once you reach a stable maintenance dose, appointments move to every 3 months
- At each appointment, we perform a body composition scan to monitor your body fat percentage and muscle mass — because losing fat while preserving muscle is what actually matters
Yes. We offer telehealth visits for patients located in California. Our providers are licensed in California, and we verify your identity and location at the start of each visit to ensure safe, high-quality care.
When appropriate, certain medications may be prescribed during a telehealth visit. Some medications, including controlled substances, may require an in-person evaluation to ensure the highest standard of care.
Controlled substances are prescribed thoughtfully and only when clinically appropriate. In many cases, an in-person visit is required. We follow all state and federal regulations and do not prescribe controlled substances outside of California.
In select cases, compounded medications may be prescribed when there is a clear medical need. These decisions are based on an individualized clinical evaluation, not cost alone, and prescriptions are sent to licensed compounding pharmacies.

We are a brick-and-mortar medical practice offering both in-person and telehealth care. We charge for medical visits and services, not for prescriptions alone.
