About Us

Los Angeles Primary Care and Obesity Medicine is L.A.'s premier center for preventative care and weight loss management. We are a young, physician owned practice that is dedicated to caring for our local community. Our physicians regularly attend academic conferences, keep up with the most up to date evidence-based practices and integrate technology to improve the common inefficiencies at standard doctors offices. You will be able to text message with our office, schedule video visits, and complete forms online to ensure minimal wait times. Sera Ramadan, D.O.

Sera Ramadan, D.O., is double board-certified in internal and obesity medicine. She is the founder and medical director of Los Angeles Primary Care, a boutique internal medicine and obesity medicine practice located in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. As a millennial herself, her mission was to create a medical practice with the charm of building lasting physician-patient relationships, with the convenience of the most advanced medical technology including online appointment scheduling in addition to live phone answering services, text messaging with your doctor, telemedicine appointment visits and in-office procedures for a one-stop shop of all things primary care. 
Dr. Ramadan has always had a special interest in proactive preventative care medicine. She has been a competitive athlete for most of her life, competing in both individual and group sports including gymnastics and soccer. She has first-hand experience and keeps up to date with the most recent guidelines in nutrition and exercise therapy to help her patients be the best versions of themselves. 

As a board-certified obesity medicine physician, she is well-versed and equipped to treat patients who struggle with weight loss from conservative lifestyle management to treatment with both oral or injectable medications including Wegovy and Zepbound. She also utilizes in-office procedures including body composition analysis to monitor body fat and muscle mass percentage, and genetic tests to rule out rare genetic causes of obesity that may be successfully treated with specialized medicine.

Dr. Ramadan attended college at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in microbiology. She then earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, before completing a residency at St. Mary-Harbor UCLA in Long Beach, California.

Dr. Ramadan is double board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine.

Dr. Ramadan has privileges to care for and expedite hospital admissions if needed for her patients at Glendale Memorial Hospital.

Noel Almani, P.A.

Noel Almani is a certified physician assistant in which he practices special interest in obesity medicine, LGBTQIA + health, and internal medicine. Noel was born and raised in New York City and graduated in 2014 with a masters in Physician assistant studies.
He studied physician assistant studies at Daemen College in Buffalo, NY. He relocated to LA in 2018 for warmer weather and to be in a fun thriving city.
Noel is very passionate when it comes to patient care and wants his patients to feel welcomed and safe when discussing their health needs and concerns. He also is affiliated and works at Glendale Memorial Hospital as a hospitalist.
His hobbies include strength training, hiking, snowboarding, and laying out on the beach.

Fun Fact: He's a huge Taylor Swift fan.He is accepting new patients and is looking forward to establishing a healthy patient-provider relationship.

Bailey Boka, P.A

Bailey is a board certified Physician Assistant with a background in family medicine. Originally from San Diego, she is excited to have found a new home in Los Angeles. She brings a strong foundation in primary care and a special interest in integrative health, focusing on whole-person, patient-centered care.

Bailey earned her undergraduate degree in Genetics and Genomics from UC Davis, where she developed a deep appreciation for the science behind health and wellness. She went on to graduate with distinction from the Wake Forest School of Medicine PA Program in 2024.

With a passion for preventive medicine, Bailey believes in empowering patients through education, lifestyle, and personalized care plans that support long-term well-being. She enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients and takes pride in creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where people feel heard and cared for.

Outside the clinic, you’ll find her trying different workout classes, reading, playing beach volleyball, or spending time with family and friends.
